Time and time again, the answer is," Just don't fucking do it." But sometimes, someone says something so fucking rude and irritating to my husband, that I feel the need to jump in and dismantle/defend. And every fucking time, I learn that I should just let assholes be assholes.
Today, I feel I did a pretty good job at destroying someone who was trolling my husband. That said though, I am riled up and irritable. I got her to bow out and double-down on her idiocy. But the problem is, I am annoyed. Input impacts output.
I have, in my "older" years (by this I mean, now that I am no longer in my 20's), been better about not engaging these kinds of people. But I still fall short and do it. It is frustrating.
My goal for today is to move on and forget about the interaction. Rather than let it annoy me that I even went for the bait in the first place.
In other news, I accomplished almost all of my to-do list that I posted yesterday. The only items I didn't do was "cook dinner" and "draw". Dinner was cooked by dear husband when he got back from his gig. Laundry took me way longer than I had anticipated. To be fair, I haven't hung anything since we moved in to the house... so it was a LOT of laundry to go through. BUT, I am done! I did it! Now all of my shit is hanging in the closet or in its appropriate drawer and I am ecstatic! Anyway, by the time we ate dinner, it was almost 10pm and I was EXHAUSTED. There was no way drawing was going to be happening. Additionally, I am in the middle of two pieces on my ipad, and I had been using the ipad to watch Schitt's Creek while I was doing laundry. So, I don't think there was enough battery life to really get through it.
I REALLY need to mow our lawn, but the problem is that it has been fucking wet. Not constantly, but whenever I have time it is wet. Also, I believe a storm is about to roll through here today/tonight. SoOoOO, mowing is not happening today either. Fuck, man. When we finally get the chance to mow, it is going to suUUuUuUuUUck.
Alright, man. I am going to think of a to-do list for today. Let's brainstorm...
1. Walk/run
2. Draw
3. Read (maybe)
4. Cook dinner
5. Get to working on my fucking office space?
Okay, that is it for me... Let's see what I manage to do today. =D
Also, hahaha! This was my tarot card for today!
