LoOoOng Weekend
Jul. 15th, 2019 11:26 amWhat a long weekend! I actually feel like I need a weekend for the weekend I just had. So tired!
First, with the house. We closed on Friday! Huzzah! I am so glad that is finally over and done with. Now we just have to start the moving process.
Something I never really thought about are all of the little things that come with customizing a home for yourself. The cabinets and drawers in the kitchen need a bit of love and I have no idea what my options are with all of that. I know that there are some paper linings you can put in them, but I am sure there are better/cooler things I could do. I feel like I have to get that shit done before I can really start moving anything in. I am very excited though. We are finally going to be living in a house and no longer living the apartment life!
After closing day, we hung out with some of my coworkers and I had such a blast. They are so fun and so wonderful. I really hope we get to hang out with them more and we develop a great friendship. We hung out and played Jackbox Games. It was great! They had the most comfortable couch in the world, and I LOVE their dog, Mr. Pickles. He is so perfect. :)
Then, we went to Saint Joseph, MO for a convention called Crypticon. It was an all around awesome time, and we spent it with some of my most favorite people in the whole entire world. I was so hung over on Sunday though. I notice that whenever I stay up past 2:30am on a night have been drinking, I am so shitty the following day. I got some great sleep last night, and I am looking forward to catching up on the rest of my much needed rest tonight. :)
I am finally feeling back to my productive self. Worrying about the house shit really made it hard to focus at work. I am finally getting things done and out the door. I am so amped.
I would love to hang with my friends again this coming weekend; it was absolutely wonderful being around them. However, I am so fucking wiped after this past weekend that I think I need some time to hang out in my recluse shelter for a little bit to recharge. WOOOOoOOO!
